Approach

I approach each piece of work with a fresh and open mind, to create the most aesthetically pleasing effect to represent the chosen subject matter. I work with Acrylic, Graphite, Coloured pencil, Watercolours and Oils. My style and technique reflect how my work has developed over years of training and experience.

History and Background

At an early age I started to develop a passion for nature through drawing and painting. Growing up on a Yorkshire Dairy Farm in a small rural village allowed me to appreciate just how beautiful the countryside is.

I studied GCSE Art and Design, then went on to study both subjects at A Level.

Over the years I have been privileged enough to show my work in the Holmfirth Art Exhibition, Hall Bower chapel Exhibition, Huddersfield SU and in October of 2011 myself and a friend held a small exhibition in the yorkshire village of Denby Dale.

In July 2011 I was asked by a friend to design and make the invitations and directional signage for her wedding. It was a beautiful day which I felt privelaged to be a part of. Photgraphs of the aforementioned work can be found in the below link.

Testimonials

"You truly are a superb artist. You have not only captured the image of Kurt Cobain with incredibly intricate detailing, you have encapsulated his personality, this is not a one dimensional piece, and it gives off real emotion. The feeling you get from this piece is not justified by any photo and is best experienced by seeing the painting in person. It’s a joy to have this hanging in my house."  F.J

"Thank you so much for the beautiful painting of our beloved pet, we will be able to remember lots of happy times with him forever." G.L
